Scenic Train & Highland Escape

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your pre-arranged driver or chauffeur guide. Travel to Kandy through the island's countryside and check in to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed introduction to the city with a walk around Kandy Lake or a visit to the city centre. If time permits and opening hours allow, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Explore the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, known for their tropical plant collections and landscaped grounds. Continue with Kandy's cultural attractions, scenic viewpoints and local shopping areas.

Leave Kandy and travel through the central highlands toward Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy views of tea plantations, mountain valleys and green countryside. Stop at Ramboda Falls and visit a tea estate or factory to learn how Ceylon tea is produced. Tea tasting is subject to the selected venue. Continue to Nuwara Eliya and check in to your hotel.

Discover Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque town surrounded by tea estates and misty hills. Visit Gregory Lake and Victoria Park, and enjoy time to explore the town's historic architecture and local shops. Hakgala Botanical Garden may be added if opening hours and the day's schedule permit. Return to your hotel for a relaxed evening in the highlands

After breakfast, transfer to Nanu Oya Railway Station for a scenic train journey to Ella. Travel through Sri Lanka's spectacular tea country, passing misty mountains, valleys and picturesque highland villages. Upon arrival at Ella Railway Station, meet your chauffeur-guide and transfer to your hotel. Train timings and reserved seating are subject to railway operations .

Visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, celebrated for its stone arches and lush surroundings. Continue to Little Adam's Peak for panoramic views across the Ella highlands, allowing time for the walk and rest breaks. Visit Ravana Falls if road access, weather and the day's schedule permit. Enjoy your final evening in Ella at leisure.

After breakfast, depart Ella for Colombo or Bandaranaike International Airport by private road transfer. Travel through Sri Lanka's changing landscapes, allowing sufficient time for the long journey, traffic conditions and airport check-in. Departure arrangements will be coordinated with your onward flight schedule.
