Hiriketiya

Hiriketiya is one of Sri Lanka's fastest-growing beach destinations, located near Dickwella on the island's southern coast. Nestled within a sheltered horseshoe-shaped bay lined with coconut palms, the beach offers calm turquoise waters and soft golden sand, making it ideal for both relaxation and water sports. The bay is internationally recognized as one of Sri Lanka's best beginner and intermediate surfing destinations, with consistent waves throughout the season. Visitors can also enjoy swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, yoga, and beachfront cafés that create a laid-back tropical vibe. Despite its growing popularity, Hiriketiya has retained much of its natural charm and tranquil atmosphere.
