Hulhumalé Island

Hulhumalé is a planned and reclaimed island located in Kaafu Atoll, just a short drive from Malé and Velana International Airport. It was developed to reduce congestion in the capital city and has become a rapidly growing urban center featuring residential zones, hotels, beaches and commercial areas. Unlike traditional resort islands, Hulhumalé combines city living with coastal beauty. The island offers sandy beaches, waterfront parks, cycling tracks, cafes and easy access to nearby dive and excursion points. It is often used as a transit stay for tourists arriving or departing from the Maldives.
