Sri Lanka Railways has officially announced the resumption of train services between Badulla and Nanu Oya, restoring one of the most scenic railway journeys in Sri Lanka. Following extensive repair work after severe weather-related damage, train operations will recommence from 20 June 2026, allowing travellers to once again enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of Sri Lanka’s hill country.
